Overview
PaxSense is a personal finance tool that helps you understand your monthly spending by analysing bank statement PDFs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We take your financial privacy seriously — your data is used only to provide you with your snapshot, nothing else.
Who we are
PaxSense is operated by Kadexus, a sole proprietorship based in India. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can reach us at hello@paxsense.app.
What data we collect
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password managed securely by Supabase Auth. We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal details unless you provide them voluntarily.
When you upload a bank statement PDF, we extract and store the following:
- Transaction date, description, and amount
- Transaction type (credit or debit)
- Running balance (if present in the statement)
- A cleaned merchant name derived from the transaction description
- A spending category assigned automatically by our AI
- The statement month and your bank name
We do not store the original PDF. It is uploaded temporarily, processed to extract your transactions, and deleted immediately — typically within seconds of upload.
We do not use third-party analytics tools. We do not track your behaviour across the app beyond what is necessary to serve your dashboard.
How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Display your Monthly Money Snapshot dashboard
- Compute month-over-month comparisons and spending insights
- Detect recurring charges and unusual spending patterns
- Allow you to manage and delete your uploaded statements
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
AI processing
Your bank statement PDF is sent to Google Gemini (via Google Cloud Vertex AI) for transaction extraction and categorisation. This processing happens in Google's infrastructure in the us-central1 region. Google processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use your data to train its models. The PDF is not retained by Google after processing.
No human at PaxSense reads your statement or your transaction data.
Data storage and security
Your transaction data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure. Access to your data is protected by row-level security — only your authenticated session can read your records. All connections are encrypted in transit using TLS.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. If you become aware of any security issue, please contact us immediately at hello@paxsense.app.
Data retention and deletion
Your transaction data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual statements and their associated transactions at any time from the Statements page inside the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at hello@paxsense.app with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will process your request within 7 business days.
Your rights
Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for processing at any time

Third-party services
PaxSense uses the following services to operate:
- Supabase — authentication and database (privacy policy)
- Google Cloud / Vertex AI — AI-powered statement parsing (privacy notice)
- Vercel — hosting and deployment (privacy policy)
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of PaxSense after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
